Anadarko: Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

Anadarko Petroleum was involved in the 2010 explosion and subsequent spill of an oil rig, Deepwater Horizon, which spewed around 4.9 million barrels of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico. They paid BP $4 billion in a single cash payment to settle all claims between the companies related to the Deepwater Horizon desaster.[1]
