Church of England criticized for investments in General Electric

The Church of England Pensions Board has shareholdings of up to £10 million in the arm manufacturer General Electric. The Church of England argues that the investment decision is in line with their investment policy, since less than three percent of General Electric’s turnover is based on arms sales. Nevertheless, General Electric is listed in the SIPRI Top 100 arms-producing and military services companies in the world on place 20.
