Dutch pension fund puts Walmart and PetroChina on investment blacklist

The Dutch pension fund APB put Walmart and the Chinese oil giant PetroChina on its investments blacklist. APB is one of the largest pension funds in the world. In a statement, the fund explained why both companies were on this list. Walmart was listed because of inconsistent policies with the guidelines of the International Labour Organisation, in particular those related to trade union policies and working conditions. PetroChina Company is on the list because of the actions of its parent company CNPC in Sudan and Burma.
