VF: Ignorance of supply chain

VF Corporation received an overall grade of C+ in “The Australian Fashion Report” (p. 4). The study, launched in August 2013 by international development organisations, Baptist World Aid and Not For Sale, ranked companies based on their CSR policies and practices. The report revealed that 93% of retailers, VF included, were unaware of where the raw materials for their garments are sourced from – meaning that companies are grossly overlooking instances of child labor, forced labor, and exploitation in the supply chain.
