Samsung Group: Sourcing tin from controversial mines in Indonesia

In 2013, Samsung admitted to sourcing tin from Bangka Island, Indonesia. This came after pressure by Friends of the Earth, following their investigation showing that unregulated tin mining depends on child labour, devastates the environment and kills an estimated 150 miners every year.1
