Samsung Group: Involvement in price-fixing scheme

In the beginning of September 2014, Samsung and others were charged a penalty of € 138 million by the European Union for the involvement in a price-fixing scheme for chips used in mobile SIM cards, passports and bank cards between 2003 and 2005. Samsung received a fine of € 35.12 million.1
